Ryan Nece Foundation Welcomes Daphne Miles as Director of School Programs

The Ryan Nece Foundation is thrilled to welcome Daphne Miles as our Director of School Programs.

Daphne Miles has dedicated her life to providing resources and experiences for students, as well as preparing them to do as she has done – become a contributing community member who dedicates a portion of free time to giving back.

“Everyone here at the Ryan Nece Foundation believes Daphne exemplifies our #PowerOfGiving philosophy,” Chief Executive Officer Melissa Neeley said. “Daphne has been a long-time volunteer for us – even donating to attend a service-learning trip with our students. I’m so excited she can finally join our team more officially as a full-time staff member. I know because of her background and dedication to students, our programming will continue to shine as we expand our school-based model and partnerships.”

Daphne is a lifelong resident of Greater Tampa Bay with over 15 years of public-school leadership experience in Pinellas County. She is passionate about creating learning environments where students are prioritized, nurtured and celebrated every day. Her years as a school administrator have allowed her to hone her natural gifts for thinking strategically, solving problems, building community, and cultivating partnerships.

Daphne holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Science Education and Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of South Florida, as well as a Certificate in Management and Leadership from Harvard Graduate School of Education and Business School. She is a member of Leadership Florida and graduate of the 2023 Non-Profit Leadership Center’s Program for Advancing Racial Equity on Nonprofit Boards. Daphne is also a 2024-2025 inaugural member of the Dr. Stephen Fink Fellowship at the University of Washington Center for Educational Leadership.

Daphne’s family is the greatest joy of her life. She also enjoys playing pickleball, attending cultural events and traveling.
