Atlanta Service-Learning Trip: Day 4 Recap

Our day started with eating the hotel-provided breakfast (shout out to McKibbon Hospitality‘s Hampton Inn & Suites at Buckhead) before heading straight to the meeting room to debrief our busy day yesterday.

LifeLine Animal Project

Then, we were on the road to our final service project at LifeLine. LifeLine is an animal shelter that specializes in affordable animal adoption and veterinary care. At LifeLine, we first got a tour around the shelter, giving treats out to the dogs. We then got to work on enrichment toys and treats for the cats and dogs.

World of Coca-Cola

After the team’s service at LifeLine, we went out to lunch at Three Dollar Cafe to enjoy bonding time over a meal. After lunch we headed to the final fun part of the trip, the World of Coca-Cola, an interactive museum displaying the history of Coca-Cola as well as how it brings the world together, creating a sense of community.

Heading Home

After a full and memorable final day, we made our way to the airport, grabbed some food, reflected on the incredible four days behind us, and boarded our flight back to Tampa. This trip was more than a service experience. It was a reminder of why we do what we do. We came to Atlanta to give back, and we’re leaving with full hearts.
