The Giving Is Mutual

Today we embarked on the second day of our journey here in the Dominican Republic and in just a short time I have experienced many wonderful things and at the same time some things that greatly emphasized our purpose in being here. As we toured through the city and the countryside we tried to look at what some of the needs were and what factors created the circumstances for people to find themselves in the situation that they’re in. However, when we arrived at the Cigar Family Complex we got an amazing exposure to the wonderful change and talent that is now flourishing in the community. I was absolutely amazed at what I saw and what I got to experience; now, as we prepare to serve the community I’ve realized how they also serve to us- through their rich and beautiful culture and the experiences that they help us create.
