Greater Tampa Bay Huddles Up in Support of Local Students

The Ryan Nece Foundation celebrated leadership and community service at our May 8th Huddle, a luncheon presented by Suncoast Credit Union at Armature Works.

More than 235 community members united to hear from University of South Florida’s President Rhea Law and former Tampa Bay Buccaneers player Warrick Dunn, both who have modeled the Ryan Nece Foundation’s #powerofgiving philosophy in each stage of their lives. For those who could not attend, we learned from President Law how it important it is to surround yourselves with leaders who want your success. From Warrick Dunn, we learned the importance of being mentally strong in order to serve those around you.

After the panel, Ryan Nece, Drew Weatherford, and John Ramil awarded Warrick Dunn and President Rhea Law with the Paragon Award, which is an annual recognition to showcase role models for the next generation of community leaders. A Paragon Award recipient is known for their leadership, service to others, and distinction in their field. Everyone in Greater Tampa Bay knows how deserving these two panelists are, but in case you want further confirmation, you can see their spotlight videos here.

We are grateful to all those who came out to celebrate our mission, support the expansion of our student programs, and hear from these inspiring panelists! As said in the event remarks, here at the Ryan Nece Foundation, we are empowering the next generation of Warrick Dunns and President Laws. If you are compelled to make a donation, thanks to Suncoast Credit Union’s generous sponsorship, 100% of funds raised through this event go directly to support the students we serve.
