Calling All Tampa Bay Area Teens: 2023 Youth Service Leadership Summit

The Ryan Nece Foundation, Community Tampa Bay, and Frameworks of Tampa Bay invite you to join us Monday, January 16, 2023, at ZooTampa for our 3rd annual Youth Service Leadership Summit. This free event is open to all Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas County teens ages 14 to 18 years old. Registration is live now!

“In our modern society, young people are bombarded with messages of selfishness. We are excited to team up with Community Tampa Bay and Frameworks of Tampa Bay to host our 3rd Annual Youth Service Leadership Summit, which will work to combat those messages by exposing young people to community issues, encouraging them to reach outside their circle of knowledge, and teaching them to give selflessly” explains Melissa Neeley, CEO of the Ryan Nece Foundation.

The mission of the Youth Service Leadership Summit is to do just that, through building, shaping, and mentoring the next generation of servant leaders in our community. This is accomplished by engaging high school students in a morning of community service, followed with an afternoon of leadership education with talented speakers.

“We are thrilled that over 200 teens in the Tampa Bay community will be exposed to service needs in our area. Later in the day, convening as a group, the teens will hear more about the importance of community service in broadening their perspective of the needs of society, and the population they choose to serve.  Social awareness is a critical competency in the building blocks of emotional intelligence (EQ) and our collaborative Youth Summit is just one more way to achieve greater EQ” shares Elizabeth A. Reedy, CEO, Frameworks of Tampa Bay.

This year’s keynote speaker is @TrashCaulin, TikTok creator and eco activist known for his daily trash cleanups. He has gained a following of over 1.6M followers by blending activism, education, and entertainment. “Having the opportunity to reach the youth and encourage them to take a creative approach on issues that affect their communities excites me to speak at this event. As a kid I always knew I wanted to help, at the time I just didn’t know how. So, sharing my process with the next generation provides them a platform to build on that and take a step further.”
