Where Are They Now? — Whitney James

Whitney James Advice

Whitney is going to be a senior at Elon University. She is studying Political Science, Communications, and History. Right now, Whitney is in Washington DC  interning with 314 Action to help elect more STEM professionals to office. She is on the editorial board of the national journal for undergraduate political science research, and is about to start applying to law schools to concentrate in Civil Rights and Constitutional Law. Whitney is still involved in community service through her sorority. They work with Girl Scouts and Prevent Child Abuse America. Her favorite SSP memory was her service trip to New Orleans in 2017–her favorite part was setting up the community garden. She says that the Ryan Nece SSP made her a better leader and gave her the skill set necessary to take on the leadership roles she fills today.
