The Ryan Nece Foundation, Community Tampa Bay, and Frameworks of Tampa Bay invites you to join us Friday, February 16, 2024 at the University of Tampa for our 4th annual Youth Service Leadership Summit, presented by Suncoast Credit Union. This event is open to all Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas County teens aged 14 to 18 years old. February 16th is a Non-Student Day for all Hillsborough and Pinellas County public school students.

The mission of our Youth Service Leadership Summit, presented by Suncoast Credit Union, is to help build, shape, and mentor the next generation of servant leaders in our community, by engaging high school students in a morning of community service, followed with an afternoon of leadership education with talented speakers.

Meet Our Panelists and Moderator

Mrs. Elizabeth Fowler is a Director of the Triad Foundation and has served in this role since 1995. Before that, she was a senior vice president at Bank of America, where she began working in 1984 in the corporate banking division in Tampa, Florida. Mrs. Fowler is active in nonprofit work and is the Founder of Frameworks of Tampa Bay and currently serves on its board and its development and program committees. She also is currently serving on the Academy Preparatory School Board, the Lowry Park Zoo Endowment Board, the Metropolitan Ministries Endowment Board, the Board of The Phoenix, the GuidEd Board, and the national Board of The Policy Circle. The Triad Foundation supports over 35 nonprofits in Tampa primarily engaged in emotional intelligence, character building, positive coaching, mentoring, education, human services, and addiction/recovery programs.

Bob Hyde serves Suncoast Credit Union and the community as the Vice President of Community Impact, overseeing all efforts related to community relations, community development, and the Suncoast Foundation. Prior to this role, Bob served for over 4 years as our VP of Enterprise Risk Management. From 1993 to 2015, Bob enjoyed 22-years of distinguished service as an officer in U.S. Navy, culminating with duty at both U.S. Special Operations Command and U.S. Central Command where he was responsible for identifying and mitigating risk associated with key national security issues. Operationally, Bob served on various ships around the world, deploying multiple times in support of named operations in the Middle East, Europe, the Pacific and South America. Bob holds a Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts degree from Villanova University as well as a Master of Arts Degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College. He is a certified Credit Union Enterprise Risk Management Expert (CUERME).

LaKendria Robinson is a visionary leader at the helm of The Orenda Collective, a dynamic social impact strategy firm that partners with businesses and non-profit organizations to design, implement, and measure socially responsible initiatives that drive meaningful change. With over a decade of experience, she has emerged as a leading expert in social impact programming, equity-driven initiatives, and pioneering change. LaKendria Robinson’s enduring legacy as a pioneering change maker, inspirational speaker, and catalyst for social impact reflects her unwavering commitment to creating a better Tampa Bay for all. Her visionary leadership continues to inspire and drive meaningful change in the community, and her insights as a TEDx speaker have left an indelible mark on those seeking to blaze their own trails of innovation and transformation.

Stephen Thomas was promoted to Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in January 2023 at the Tampa Bay Rays. Born and raised in Vallejo, CA he attended college at Washington State University earning his bachelor’s degree in Sports Management. Stephen started with the Tampa Bay Rays in January 2006 and during his tenure has worked in Corporate Partnerships, Fan Experience, Business Operations, Strategy and Development and was Executive Director of the Rays Baseball Foundation from 2016-2021. As a resident of St. Petersburg, Stephen has a passion for his community and believes in giving back. He has served on the board for the Police Athletic League of St. Petersburg, served as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, the St. Petersburg High School wrestling team, and served over 9 years as a Big with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay. He currently serves on the board for Community Tampa Bay.

Dr. Nekeshia Hammond (moderator) is a distinguished psychologist, executive coach, and founder of Hammond Psychology & Associates. She is also the creator and host of the well-received show “Mental Health Moment with Dr. Hammond.” Renowned for her expertise in mental health, burnout prevention, and leadership development, she engages as an international speaker and is an Amazon international best-selling author. Dr. Hammond’s thought leadership is making waves in the media, having been featured on major networks like NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX, and even in the pages of Essence Magazine. She’s also graced renowned platforms like Corporate Counsel Women of Color and TEDx, spreading her wisdom on mental wellness and the art of balancing leadership. Dr. Hammond knows the importance of a well-rounded life. When she’s not transforming the business world, she’s cherishing time with her family and indulging in enriching activities like nature walks, reading, leisure writing, international travel, and even conquering the CrossFit arena.
