Meet the Tampa Connection Professionals:

Erin Hoyle has spent the past 8 years representing clients that have been accused of defrauding the federal government. She concentrates her practice on government investigations, corporate internal investigations, and white-collar criminal defense, with a focus on whistleblower complaints, allegations of healthcare fraud, cryptocurrency securities litigation, and cybersecurity and privacy compliance. She has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch since 2021. Ms. Hoyle serves as a member of the Rankings and Endorsements Committee and the Young Professionals Committee of the Women in White Collar Defense Association, an organization promoting diversity for women attorneys who specialize in the defense of government enforcement actions and internal investigations. She is a frequent speaker and author on the False Claims Act, corporate compliance, and attorney-client privilege issues. Erin is passionate about nonprofit engagement and volunteerism and is a mom to three delightful daughters.

Stephanie Markese has over 10 years in staffing and has a passion for building relationships. She is currently the VP of Strategic Partnerships and Co-Owner at NextPath Career Partners, a women & minority owned full-service recruitment firm servicing both local and national clients to hire outstanding people in Information Technology, Sales, Marketing, Finance & Accounting, Customer Success, and Executive Search. She is also co-creator of the podcast Live Bold & Boss Up, a podcast aimed at coaching business professionals & entrepreneurs by having meaningful conversations with business leaders to educate and elevate while having fun doing it!  Stephanie was born & raised in Tampa Bay and believes there is no better place to live in the world! She is an alumni Tampa Bay Buccaneers cheerleader and a mom to two rascally boys.

Maureen Smith has over 15 years in project management and operations. She currently works at Stonehill, a strategy and innovation consultancy. She focuses on collaborative leadership to solve complex problems by working directly with clients to define and create strategic plans to achieve positive outcomes. As the Secretary on the board of Tampa Connection, she contributes her expertise to the non-profit community. A Tampa Bay native since age 8, Maureen holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of South Florida and is PMP certified. In her free time, she enjoys participating in local 5k races and cherishing moments with family and friends.
